The Murias are a group of adivasi or indigenous people who belong to the Bastar district of Chattisgarh, in central India. as a prt of an age old custom, every year Muria men and women paint on the walls of their Ghotul. The Ghotul is a community dormitory for unmarried girls and boys, where they learn about the ways
of life. The paintings seen here are joyful depictions of natural life seen - in and around a Muria village.
