Theyyam is a popular ritual form of worship in North Malabar in Kerala, India. A living cult, Theyyam has been followed for thousands of years. A dance or invocation is generally performed in front of a village shrine with elaborate rites and rituals. The Theyyam dancers wear costumes that vary according to the deity represented.
